The Data centres worldwide consume massive amounts of energy, producing huge amounts of waste heat as a result. The cooling of these data centres is a concern and requires a lot of energy to undertake.

Microsoft have experimented with a novel way of cooling one of its Data centres: putting it under the sea. Here is a link to an article explaining it.
